Most people these days would do anything just to fix everything when it comes to improving or maintaining their physical looks. Regardless of how painful or how expensive it may be, they are willing to go through all these and they are even proud of it.

The rise of plastic surgery and some minimal invasive procedures have been taking the world by storm with so many people succumbing to these procedures. Here’s a list of statistics released by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons about the “popularity” of plastic surgery:

  1. Women make up the highest rate of patients or clients who undergo plastic surgery. According to their data 92% of the cosmetic procedures were undergone by women.
  1. Of the plastic surgeries, Breast Augmentation has the highest frequency. Since 2006, breast implants or augmentation has been the most sought after plastic surgery in America and perhaps in the world. Most of the breast augmentations done were Silicone Implants accounting 77%. Other plastic surgeries most people go through include Rhinoplasty, Liposuction, Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) and facelifts.
  1. For men, Nose Reshaping or Rhinoplasty is the most popular. According to the data, America has accounted more than 200,000 men who underwent nose reshaping procedure in 2014. Rounding up Men’s Top five are Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), Breast reduction, Facelifts and Liposuction.
  1. For minimally invasive procedures, Botox or Botulinum Toxin Type A facial injections take the top spot. There were more than 6 million Americans who have had Botox injections for the year 2014 only. Also common minimally invasive procedures that are saleable include chemical peels, soft tissue fillers, microdermbrasion and laser hair removal.
  1. Now, read this – Women who are in their 40s and up are the most common clients of plastic surgery. Most of the plastic and minimally invasive surgeries were availed by women ages 40 years old up to 54 years old in 2014.
